Solar Academy Bulgaria Assosiation Honored at the Annual Awards of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry

At a ceremonial event in Sofia, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) presented its annual awards for the 31st time. The ceremony recognized companies, ambassadors, trade representatives, media outlets, and journalists for their contributions.

Among the awardees was the Association “Solar Academy Bulgaria,” which received a distinction in the category “Sectoral Organizations – for contributions to achieving the goals and objectives of BCCI.” The awards included a bronze “Hermes” statuette, crafted by sculptor Stavri Kalinov, along with a plaque and certificate.

“It was an exceptional honor for me, as the Chairman of the Association ‘Solar Academy Bulgaria,’ to receive the ‘Hermes’ award in the ‘Sectoral Organization’ category from the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for our contribution to achieving the Chamber’s goals and objectives! This award means a lot to the Association and confirms that our development is heading in the right direction. In a time of complex domestic political situations, uncertain geopolitical environments, and energy transitions, the Association plays a crucial role by informing, supporting, and working towards a better business and social environment, based on innovative renewable energy sources accessible to all. Renewable energy sources are a key factor for Bulgaria’s energy security, economic growth, and the competitiveness of Bulgarian businesses. Over the past years, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association ‘Solar Academy Bulgaria’ have united their efforts in this direction,” commented Dr. Eng. Veselin Todorov.

The top-performing companies in BCCI’s Top 100 ranking were recognized for their significant achievements during the year. Ambassadors and trade representatives received acknowledgment for strengthening diplomatic and economic relations between Bulgaria and their respective countries. Media outlets and journalists were awarded for their objective coverage of economic issues and BCCI’s role in defending business interests.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of BCCI members, regional chambers of commerce and industry, sectoral organizations, diplomatic missions, and BCCI partners.

The caretaker Minister of Economy and Industry, Petko Nikolov, addressed the awardees and guests and was among those presenting the awards. Official guests also included Deputy Ministers of Labor and Social Policy Lazar Lazarov and Natalia Efremova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Elena Shekerletova, and BCCI Chairman Tsvetan Simeonov.
